The Department of Philosophy is proud to announce that Ashli Anda has accepted an offer as a lecturer in the philosophy department at California Lutheran University. She will be teaching a class called Oppression and Liberation and will also teach Latin American philosophy. It’s been a goal of Anda’s to work for a Hispanic Serving Institution like California Lutheran University since she attended one as an undergraduate student. Anda recently successfully defended her dissertation “A Kantian Nonideal Theory of Punishment.”

Anda is the fourth recent Phd to land an academic position. PhDs Seungil Lee, Addison Ellis, and Amber Polk all recently accepted tenure-track or other academic positions.
