Research Description

I have two primary research interests. The first is in social and political philosophy, particularly in questions of liberty, autonomy, justice, and welfare, and how to approach trade-offs where these values conflict. I am especially interested in discussions surrounding global and distributive justice.

The second is in applied ethics, particularly business ethics. My research centers on the ethical obligations of different market actors (consumers, firms, employees) and the extent to which we ought to intervene in markets to promote certain values. Within this, I am primarily interested in managerial ethics, consumer ethics, and the moral limits of markets.
