Research Description

I am interested in how social norms have been produced and enforced in digital environments. My research focuses on the experiences of marginalized people, specifically neurodivergent individuals, in online communities. Primarily using Kantian and Foucauldian frameworks, I examine how technology shapes our contemporary perceptions of deviance, cruelty, morality, personhood, and entertainment. I find these questions especially pertinent to understanding how digital environments shape both our ethical judgments and the epistemic conditions that make those judgments possible.
