Research Description
I am interested in a healthy combination of logic, epistemology, philosophy of science, and metaphysics. I also have a developing interest in philosophy of law that stems from my experience of working as an immigration paralegal in Chicago after my undergrad. Questions that motivate my philosophical interests are: Why and how do we believe what we do? What does science say — and not say — about the physical facts of the world, the nature of our minds, the veracity of our intuitions, and our moral decision making? What kinds of evidence should influence our point of view, and when do we misuse evidence? How does logic, metaphysics, and various epistemic frameworks keep us on track, and where does it lead us astray?
