Biography

I am a PhD candidate in the department of Philosophy at UIUC; before that, I did an MSc in 'Ethics, Epistemology, and Mind' through the Edinburgh University in 2014.

My main interests are: moral psychology, moral decision making (of which I have done some empirical work), and philosophy of cognitive science. I also think a lot about how social and moral norms are acquired, and how they guide our thoughts in everyday social situations.

My dissertation research is predominantly on the topic of empathy. Right now, I'm researching and writing about the epistemic and cognitive dimensions of empathetic perspective taking.
